Kuusamo Lapland is the tourism region of Northeast Finland; the municipalities of Kuusamo, Taivalkoski, Pudasjärvi, Posio, Kemijärvi, and Salla are located along the old White Sea trade route to Russia. Salla and Kuusamo have international border crossing stations.
