Naturpolis Kuusamo Education and Development Services arranges higher education in collaboration with the Universities of Oulu and Lapland and with Oulu and Kajaani Universities of Applied Sciences. The learning center utilizes information technology and new learning environments in distance learning and other educational services.

Through this cooperation, a wide range of college and university-level services are made available to customers on one campus. The Naturpolis Education and Development Services unit also offers the services of other partners to the public sector and business life. For example, Oulu University of Applied Sciences and Diaconia University of Applied Sciences arrange open higher education in Kuusamo.
